In June 2012, the Equine Feed Oat Project launched the Equine Oat Research Advisory Board (EORAB).  The purpose of the EORAB is to:
  • Provide counsel and advice on potential research studies that may increase the value of the oat;
  • Review research proposals and recommend which equine related research studies should be funded by the Prairie Oat Growers Association (POGA);
  • Advise POGA on further research or determine next steps based on research findings;
  • Become the source on equine nutrition information on oats for the equine industry.
Members of the Equine Oat Research Advisory Board may include: equine university researchers, equine nutritionists, extension specialists, equine practitioners, oat millers, feed manufacturers, oat breeders, oat producers, equine media representatives, and other representatives of the industry.
