Welcome to the
Equine Feed Oat Project

We’re glad you’re here. There is much information out there about feeding your horse. In the past, most horses were fed hay, oats and water. It was an all-natural diet that horse owners relied on for decades.

Today, with advances in scientific knowledge about the nutritional needs of horses, owners have many more choices to make. Add in the hundreds of different nutritional supplements available for everything from anemia to Wobbler Syndrome and it can be confusing.

One thing that hasn’t changed over the years is oats.  Pure, natural, wholesome oats. For more than a century, oats have been considered the preferred grain for horses and scientific research over the decades has confirmed this fact.

We’ve created this site to give you information about oats for horses.

We’d like to hear from you. Use the form on the Contact Us page to tell us how you are using oats.
